The Oil Monitoring Analyst (OMA I) certification is designed for professionals responsible for lubricant analysis and condition monitoring in industrial applications. It recognizes individuals with a working knowledge of oil analysis practices and their role in equipment reliability.
This training course provides the foundational knowledge needed to prepare for the OMA I certification exam while improving your ability to interpret oil analysis data and make informed maintenance decisions.
Participants gain a better understanding of lubricant condition, equipment wear, and how oil analysis supports a more proactive, condition-based maintenance approach.

8 am to 5 pm day 1-2, with optional STLE exam from 8 am – Noon on day 3.
$999 for 2-day seminar in Wichita (includes continental breakfast, beverage & lunch). Optional STLE exam on morning after class is not included in this class fee.
LE partners with third party instructors who are knowledgeable, experienced and active in the industry, ensuring that you will receive an unbiased course focused on education and training.
STLE requires a minimum of one year of experience using oil analysis in a lubrication-related role, along with 16 hours of formal training in oil monitoring analysis, to qualify for the OMA I certification exam.

The current exam fee is $440 for STLE members and $590 for non-members.
Private group training can be scheduled as a two-day seminar at Lubrication Engineers’ facility in Wichita or at your location, with an optional certification exam available on the third day. A minimum of 10 participants is typically required for private sessions.
