Industrial Oils

LE’s Industrial Oils work for countless applications

Overview

Lubrication Engineers large selection of industrial oils are well-suited for a vast array of uses, including long-service-life applications, high and low temperature applications, applications with the possibility of incidental food contact, and outdoor applications in marine environments and other areas where environmental concerns require the use of a very low-toxicity lubricant. LE industrial oils are available in a wide range of ISO grades, with viscosities to meet any application requirement. Most of LE’S industrial oils contain at least one of LE’s proprietary additives to improve performance, including:
  • Monolec® a wear-reducing additive that creates a single molecular lubricating film on metal surfaces.
  • Duolec® an impact-resistant additive that helps to form a barrier against corrosion.
  • Quinplex® a dual-acting additive that imparts synergistic properties to lubricants, providing both wear-reducing and extreme pressure protection.

Comprehensive industrial oil lineup offers many benefits

LE industrial oils encompass 11 major categories, ranging from gear oils, air compressor oils and hydraulic oils to rock drill oils, turbine oils and low-toxicity oils. Because the kinds of industrial oils LE offers are so diverse, the features and benefits are also diverse. These include anti-foam, anti-wear, high-viscosity, thermal stability and high load-carrying ability, as well as many others. Among the oils in the LE line are varieties that are semi-synthetic or fully synthetic, some that meet NSF H1 requirements for incidental food contact and are certified Kosher Pareve by the Orthodox Union, and some that meet USDA H2 criteria for non-food contact areas of food processing plants. Because of these features and benefits, LE’s industrial oils can prevent rust, adhere to metal, combat acid hydrolysis, loosen corroded and frozen parts, and meet or exceed OEM requirements for various types of machinery. LE’s specially designed industrial oils continually outperform conventional oils in numerous applications. Heat exchange systems, hydraulics, centralized lubrication systems, air compressors and construction equipment all benefit from our superior formulations, which contain the right base oils and the right additive packages for each application.

(4061) H1 Ovenworx® Syn Chain Lubricant

Ovenworx® H1 Syn Chain Lubricant (4061) was formulated specifically to combat the demanding conditions present with oven chain applications. In addition, it is approved for incidental food contact and contains no artificial dyes, making it a good choice for food manufacturing plants.

Oven chain efficiency is dependent upon a lubricant that can keep the chain operating freely and smoothly, fighting the ever present heat and moisture that can cause corrosion and eventually lead to premature failure of oven chain pins and bushings. Only the most robust lubricant formulations can perform in this application; it is not an area to cut corners. If the oven chain fails, output comes to a screeching halt.

Typical Applications:

  • Automatic lubrication systems for baking ovens
  • Kiln chain drives
  • Skate chains in bread and bun baking ovens
  • Stenter & tenter chains
  • Other high-temperature oven chains

(9963) Synolec® Lubricant

Chains and conveyors which operate in high temperature environments are extremely difficult to lubricate effectively. Even the very finest petroleum oils oxidize very rapidly as temperatures climb, leaving behind deposits which are detrimental to smooth, efficient chain and conveyor operation.

To meet this severe test of lubricant technology, LE developed 9963 SYNOLEC® Lubricant. As the name implies, this special product is pure synthetic. It leaves no deposits to cause chains to bind, jump the sprocket or break, or conveyor rollers to slide or bind. Since 9963 SYNOLEC is an oil, it can be applied easily with standard equipment… spray, drip applicator, or brush.

Typical Applications:

Originally designed as a high temperature chain and conveyor lubricant; however, it is also appropriate for sealed-for-life bearings and other high temperature applications.

LE’s Thermic™ Heat Transfer products provide efficient heat transfer and good pump circulation and are perfect for use in asphalt production equipment; die casting machinery; and plastic, paper and rubber manufacturing operations.

Thermic Heat Transfer Oil (6734) has been designed for high-temperature enclosed heat transfer equipment and is formulated with highly refined, severely hydrogenated, paraffinic white oil that resists cracking, oxidation and thickening. It was designed specifically for performance in hot oil exchange systems sustaining operating temperatures up to 316°C (600°F). Thermic Heat Transfer Oil does not rely on extra additives that can be depleted to combat oxidation; instead, it is engineered to rely on the inherent strength of its chemical bond to provide long-term oxidative stability.

Most heat transfer systems need to be flushed of carbon and sludge from exhausted heat transfer fluids. Thermic Heat Transfer System Cleaner (6739) is a one-step, nonhazardous cleaning agent for systems with fouling and other degradation issues. Add 15 percent of the system volume and run for up to two weeks at 288°C (550°F) for removing carbon and sludge.
