Food Grade Oil & Grease

Non-Toxic, Food Grade Lubrication for Reliable, Safe Operation.

Food-Grade Grease and Oils by Lubrication Engineers

In food, beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing, maintaining equipment reliability is essential to prevent costly damage caused by severe operating conditions. Lubrication Engineers offers high-performance food-grade greases and oils that meet strict safety and quality standards. These products are NSF H1-certified for incidental food contact, Kosher Pareve, and Halal-certified by IFANCA, ensuring suitability for use in food processing plants.

LE’s food-grade lubricants are formulated to withstand harsh conditions, including extreme temperatures, frequent washdowns, and high contamination risks. Whether your equipment requires additive-free USP-grade white mineral oils or advanced formulations with Quinplex®, LE’s exclusive additive, these lubricants deliver benefits like impact resistance, wear reduction, and enhanced oil film strength.

Typical Applications

Our food-grade oils and greases have been trusted for years in operations requiring dependable performance. Common applications include:

  • Blenders, bottling machines, cookers, and packaging equipment
  • Conveyors, slides, cams, and conveyor chains
  • Gearboxes, bushings, valves, and hydraulics
  • Bottle washers, canning machines, and more

High-performance food-grade lubricants play a crucial role in combating severe operating conditions and ensuring the long-term success of your facility.

NSF H1 and USDA H2 Food Machinery Lubricants

A variety of food, beverage and pharmaceutical plant applications require the use of both H1 and H2 lubricants. NSF H1-certified lubricants have been cleared for use in USDA-inspected food processing plants, and can be used where incidental food contact may occur. The Orthodox Union also certifies all LE H1 lubricants – except for H1 Machine Oil – Kosher Pareve. H2 lubricants meet USDA H2 criteria for nonfood contact areas of food processing plants. Most LE lubricants meet USDA H2 criteria.

An H1 lubricant can serve as a protective anti-rust film, a release agent on gaskets or seals of tank closures, and as grease for machine parts and equipment. Uses for H2 lubricants include any nonfood contact areas of a food or beverage plant. These applications are usually below the production line and include oven chains, air compressors, oil circulating systems, enclosed gears, industrial turbines, hydraulics and oiled bearings.

Recommended for Non-food Contact Areas

H2 lubricants meet USDA H2 criteria for non-food contact areas of food processing plants. These are lubricant applications with no possibility of food contact and are usually below the production line. Most LE lubricants meet USDA H2 criteria.

LTI, has designed and installed Automatic Lubrication Systems for the Aggregate Industry; excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders, compactors and many other applications, both large and small. Not only does the aggregate industry have hauling equipment, there are the other applications that need lubrication systems/operations, such as crushing, screening, stacking, loading, and digging. As each of our systems is custom designed, we can provide many varying configurations, depending on the size of the machine in which they are used.

Lubricants - Small Cost, Huge Returns

Lubrication Management Programs Protect Your Assets and Save You Money:

Although lubricants make up a mere 3% of the typical maintenance budget; using ineffective products, techniques and applications can have a significant impact on the lubrication-related costs that make up 40% of that budget. A Lubrication Management Program designed by the Technical Consultants at Lubrication Technologies, Inc. can help you target those areas where you see red.

  • Your equipment and components will last longer, run more efficiently and more reliably, and you won’t replace equipment or components prematurely
  • Your labor force will spend less time on routine lubrication-related maintenance and no time on lubricant-related equipment failures
  • You’ll reduce over-all lubricant consumption as well as waste
