Compression Fittings

Compression fittings are used to create leak-resistant, high-pressure connections between tubes and system components in centralized lubrication systems. These fittings are commonly used with plastic tubing and high-pressure hose in systems that carry grease or viscous oil.

Each compression fitting consists of three parts: a nut, a ferrule (cutting ring), and a fitting body with a 24° cone. As the nut is tightened, the ferrule compresses into the outer wall of the tube, creating a secure, vibration-resistant seal. This design allows the connection to be disassembled and reassembled without damaging the tubing—ideal for systems that require routine maintenance or modification.

We carry a focused selection of compression fittings, including:

  • Straight and 90° elbow fittings
  • Unions and swivel elbows
  • Bulkhead fittings with Zerk ports
  • Compression nuts (male and female)
  • Ferrules

Compression fittings are manufactured according to DIN 2353 and ISO 8434-1 standards and are available in LL (very light), L (light), and S (heavy) pressure types. Operating pressure ranges vary based on fitting type and tube size, and actual burst pressure is significantly higher than the rated working pressure.

Our components are available in Steel Zinc-nickel (CrVIF) and Stainless Steel (1.4401 / 1.4571) to suit a wide range of industrial and environmental conditions, including food processing and marine applications.

Compression fittings remain one of the most widely used connection methods in lubrication systems thanks to their sealing reliability, ease of assembly, and long-term serviceability.

Push-In Fittings

Push-in fittings, also referred to as push-to-connect or “push lock” fittings, offer a quick and reliable way to connect plastic tubing or high-pressure hose in centralized lubrication systems. Made from nickel-plated brass, these fittings are designed for easy, tool-free installation and are available in a variety of thread sizes, including M6 x 1, M8 x 1, M10 x 1, 1/8″ BSP, and 1/4″ UNF.

These fittings are compatible with PA 6-6 and PA 12 plastic tubing, as well as with 8.6 mm and 11.3 mm high-pressure hoses when used in combination with hose studs that have a retention groove. They are designed to operate at pressures up to 80 bar and within a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. Tubing should meet CETOP tolerances to ensure a proper fit.

Assembly with Plastic Tubing

Cut and deburr the tube at a 90-degree angle using a hose cutter. Ensure the tubing remains round and free of deformation. Insert the tube into the push-in fitting until it stops. Tubes from our range include markings to assist with proper insertion depth.

Assembly with High-Pressure Hose

First, install the threaded sleeve onto the hose using its left-hand thread. Then insert a hose stud with a groove into the sleeve. Finally, press the push-in fitting onto the stud. The integrated O-ring provides a leak-resistant seal.

Important Installation Notes: Avoid applying tensile loads or bending the hose too tightly near the fitting. Excessive strain or improper bend radius may interfere with sealing or make disconnection difficult later.

Disassembly

To remove the connection, press the fitting’s release ring while pulling the tube or hose stud outward.

Threaded Sleeves

Threaded sleeves are reusable connection components used to join high-pressure hoses to hose studs in centralized lubrication systems. When properly assembled, they form a stable, pressure-tight, and detachable connection that integrates with either compression fittings or push-in fittings.

Designed for 8.6 mm and 11.3 mm high-pressure hoses, these sleeves are compatible with tube studs and system components from all major manufacturers. We offer them in Steel Zinc-nickel (CrVIF), black chromated steel, and Stainless Steel (1.4401 / 316 / V4A) to suit various application environments.

Each sleeve features a left-hand thread on the hose side, which helps prevent loosening during installation. To assemble, the threaded sleeve is first screwed onto the hose. The hose stud is then inserted into the sleeve, completing the connection—no special tools required.

Once installed, the opposite end of the hose stud connects to a compression or push-in fitting, depending on the system setup. For use with push-in fittings, the hose stud must include a groove that allows the fitting to lock securely in place.

Threaded sleeves are a key component in building reliable, field-serviceable hose assemblies. For detailed assembly steps, visit our Hose Assembly page.

Hose Studs

Hose studs, also referred to as tube studs or male standpipes, are essential connectors used to join high-pressure hoses with other fittings in centralized lubrication systems. When paired with threaded sleeves, they form a secure, solder-free connection that integrates with either compression fittings or push-in fittings, depending on the application.

We offer hose studs for 8.6 mm and 11.3 mm high-pressure hoses, available in Steel Zinc-nickel (CrVIF), black chromated steel, and Stainless Steel (1.4401 / 316 / V4A). Studs are available in straight, 45°, and 90° designs, with most models offered with or without a groove to suit your system configuration.

  • Hose studs without a groove are used with compression fittings.

  • Hose studs with a groove are used with push-in fittings, where the fitting locks onto the groove for a secure hold.

Assembly is simple: the threaded sleeve is first screwed onto the hose using a left-hand thread, which prevents loosening during installation. The hose stud is then inserted into the sleeve, forming a pressure-tight and stable connection. No special tools are required. For detailed assembly instructions, visit our Hose Assembly page.

Adapters, Extensions & Reducers

Adapter fittings are used to extend, redirect, or connect lubrication lines in centralized lubrication systems. They are available in a wide range of thread sizes, lengths, and configurations to connect tubes, hoses, manifolds, and grease fittings—even in tight or complex layouts. These components play a critical role in ensuring every lubrication point is properly reached and maintained, particularly in systems with custom routing or hard-to-access zones.

Common uses include reducing between thread sizes, extending lubrication lines to remote points, or acting as grease nipple adapters. Depending on the system layout, they can also serve as connectors between different types of fittings, or between hose and tube assemblies.

We offer adapter fittings in Steel Zinc-nickel (CrVIF) and Stainless Steel, both chosen for their strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. Steel Zinc-nickel offers excellent wear and environmental protection for general-purpose applications, while stainless steel is ideal for use in more demanding or corrosive environments such as food processing or marine operations.

Fittings are available with either tapered or cylindrical threads, depending on the sealing method required. Tapered threads provide a self-sealing connection ideal for direct installation into lubrication points or manifolds. Cylindrical threads, often used with compression fittings, achieve sealing through the use of gaskets or compression rings.

All adapter fittings are compatible with standard compression fittings and require no special tools for installation. Whether used in new builds or retrofit applications, these components ensure secure, leak-resistant connections throughout centralized lubrication systems.

Hose & Tubing

We offer a complete range of plastic tubing and high-pressure feed line hoses for centralized lubrication systems. Designed for use with oil and grease, these components are compatible with equipment from all major lubrication system manufacturers and are trusted across industrial, mobile, and process applications.

Plastic Tubing

Our plastic tubes are manufactured to DIN 73378 standards and are available in PA 12 HL, PA 12 PHL, and PA 12 PHLY materials. These polyamide tubes offer excellent flexibility, pressure resistance, and chemical compatibility. They are commonly used to connect progressive distributors or piston distributors to lubrication points and can be routed easily through equipment. With strong resistance to oil, grease, and other lubricants, these tubes are well-suited for demanding environments and long-term operation.

High-Pressure Hose

Our high-pressure hoses are built for both manual lubrication and centralized automated systems. Rated for 600-840 bar, these hoses are commonly used as main lines that run from the pump element to the first distribution unit (manifold), as well as secondary lines between main distributors and sub-distributors. Their construction includes a polyamide core, polyester intermediate layer, and polyurethane outer cover, offering excellent flexibility and durability in high-pressure environments. These hoses are highly resistant to abrasion, oil, ozone, and aging, and they perform reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C.

Each hose and tube is compatible with standard compression fittings and requires no special tools for installation. Only a standard box spanner is needed for hose assembly, making installation and maintenance quick and efficient.

Whether you’re outfitting a new system or replacing existing lines, our tubing and hose options offer reliable performance, easy handling, and long-lasting resistance in lubrication systems of all types.
