Wirtgen W 210 Fi Cold Milling Machine

Project Overview

A ReliaMAX™ automatic lubrication system was installed on a Wirtgen W 210 Fi Cold Milling Machine to provide continuous, high-pressure grease delivery to 63 lubrication points across the machine. Designed for demanding milling operations, this system helps ensure consistent performance and reduced mechanical wear throughout critical moving components.

Lubricated areas include headshaft and tailshaft bearings, idlers, track bearings, steering and suspension cylinder connections, vertical and door cylinder pins, leveling sensors, guide columns, conveyor swivel joints, drag links, and multiple pivoting joints on the material depressor system. These points are subject to constant movement and heavy vibration, making automated lubrication essential for reliable daily operation.

The system utilizes a ReliaMAX™ 8 kg electric grease pump paired with progressive divider valves and polyamide tail lines, all routed for durability and ease of maintenance. It is filled with Almagard® Vari-Purpose Lubricant (3751), a high-performance grease that protects under pressure and maintains consistency in harsh environments.

Automating the lubrication process on this W 210 Fi helps extend component life, reduce downtime, and eliminate the need for manual greasing during milling cycles.
