Volvo ECR88D Mini Excavator

Compact excavators may be smaller in size, but the daily lubrication requirements are no less important. On this Volvo ECR88D Mini Excavator, we installed a ReliaMAX™ automatic lubrication system to provide consistent grease delivery across 17 critical lubrication points. By automating the greasing process, the system helps reduce maintenance time while ensuring key pivot points receive lubrication during operation.

The installation features a ReliaMAX™ 1 kg series progressive electric grease pump paired with a DPX divider valve to precisely meter grease throughout the system. This setup delivers controlled lubrication to critical wear points across the excavator while eliminating the inconsistency and time demands associated with manual greasing. With automatic lubrication taking place during operation, the system helps ensure critical components continuously receive the grease they need.

The system is filled with Almagard® Vari-Purpose Lubricant (3751), an NLGI 1 grease designed to perform in severe operating conditions. Known for its excellent water resistance, tackiness, and load-carrying capability, Almagard® 3751 helps the lubricant remain in place even in wet, dirty, and high-vibration environments commonly encountered by excavation equipment.

Together, the ReliaMAX™ automatic lubrication system and Almagard® 3751 provide dependable, consistent lubrication that helps extend component life, minimize downtime, and improve overall equipment reliability in demanding jobsite conditions.
