Upgrading Auto Lube Systems on a Rotary Calciner for a Fortune 500 Specialty Chemical Company

Our Onsite Technical Team just returned from a job on a rotary calciner for a client who is a Fortune 100 specialty chemical company with locations in over 60 countries.

Calciners, commonly called indirect kilns, transfers heat from the shell of the externally heated kiln to the bed of material through radiation. As an integral part of operations, this calciner needs to operate at peak performance for extended periods. So several years ago, this client installed auto lube systems to keep productivity maximized.

Unfortunately, the systems they had installed from another company were over-engineered and overly complicated. Most importantly, the vendor provided little to no support – from technical support to training personnel on troubleshooting the system in the event of malfunction.
