Lubrication Technologies’ Showcase
Oshkosh Front Discharge Cement Mixer
Project Overview:
This Oshkosh front discharge cement mixer was equipped with a ReliaMAX™ Automatic Lubrication System to deliver consistent grease to 31 key points. The system covers the steering and suspension on the chassis, including front and rear steer pins, drag links, kingpins, spring hangers, shackles, tie rods, S-cams, slack adjusters, and steering locks, as well as mixer-specific areas such as the chute articulation pin and roller bearings. Reliable lubrication at these locations helps prevent early wear and unplanned downtime caused by the truck’s constant vibration and heavy work cycles.
A 4 kg ReliaMAX™ electric grease pump supplies Almagard® Vari-Purpose Lubricant (3751), an NLGI 1 grease formulated to resist shock loads and water washout. Consistent, timed grease delivery reduces manual labor, minimizes the chance of missed service points, and keeps both the chassis and mixer body performing dependably on every pour.
