Versatile, Wear-Reducing Oil Preserves Metal to the Core
Wirelife ® Monolec ® Penetrating Lubricant (2001) has excellent corrosion resistance and high load carrying (EP) properties. It penetrates to the core of wire ropes, whether they are running or stationary. It is also excellent as a penetrating lubricant for chains of all sizes and works well in a variety of other industrial applications. When used in conjunction with 2002 Wirelife Almasol Coating Lubricant, maximum protection and wear reduction is achieved.
It contains a petroleum solvent to enhance its ability to penetrate.
The solvent evaporates, leaving behind a film of heavy-bodied lubricant that protects and lubricates each strand and resists leakage from the wire rope core.
Monolec ®, LE’s proprietary wear-reducing additive that provides additional protection from wear, friction and heat; and it contains an extreme pressure additive for performance when heavy loads are present.
Beneficial Qualities
Lube System Compatibility
-
Reliably pumpable for centralized
lubrication equipment
-
Can handle extreme cold;
pumpable down to -40°C (-40°F)
-
Exhibits low separation or
“bleed” in centralized systems
Water Resistance
-
Combats moisture
-
Protects against rust & corrosion
Extreme Pressure & Wear Protection
-
Protects equipment against
metal-to-metal contact
and scoring
-
Performs well under heavy loads
and shock-loading conditions
Long-Lasting Performance
-
Maintains exceptional
film strength
-
Remains mechanically
stable throughout its use
-
Maintains consistency
after being repeatedly heated
and cooled
-
Maintains excellent heat
reversion
